I remember it very clearly.
I was in computer class. Fifth grade.
It was getting intense.
The year? 1800s, "ish". I was headed out west. I had just purchased my rations at the general store (thanks, Matt). I'd named all of my companions, and we were ready to roll (literally) in our spankin' brand new wagon.
We began our journey, and things got tough. A few members of party broke their arms. One or two encountered a rattlesnake, and I'm pretty sure I died of dysentery or typhoid fever. Sigh.
Let's get back to the present. I didn't exactly survive the Oregon Trail, but I sure did enjoy the ride. Now I'm a Speech- Language Pathologist, working with WAY too many children who, quite frankly, just can't say their vocalic /r/ sounds.
I did what had to be done. I created: "Vocalic ORegon Trail: "Print & Go West" Vocalic /r/ Worksheets". Travel west to success with me, and let's help our kiddos meet their IEP goals.
